For this assignment, I had to create a Powerpoint presentation that co-insides with teaching standards that I could use within my classroom to educate my students. I had to create an account on Dropbox; I had no clue what dropbox was, so I googled it and there it was. I had to download the site, and sign up. A dropbox appeared on my computer that I can now save files to and share with public viewers. For my Powerpoint presentation I used spelling words on a unit of Healthy Living and Eating Styles for Special Education students. The presentation will give my students the opportunity to visualize the meanings of the terms through images instead of simple definitions. Please click here to view my Powerpoint presentation.
This activity goes along with teaching standard function: 3A, 3D, and 4A. I used the importance of the content which was vocabulary to create meaningful leaning for my students by creating a powerpoint presentation with visuals. This type of instruction is intended to engage my students in a deeper understanding of the vocabulary terms and their definitions. Using the dropbox was new to me, and it has given me another opportunity to explore technology, and learn new sills that I can utilize as an educator.
